DEIR Workshop

Plenary presenter Prof. Paul Walton (York University) and Prof. Alison Fout (Texas A&M University) will host a workshop on DEIR (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Respect) issues.

The activity will allow you to interact personally with Profs. Walton and Fout and explore some of the data behind gender inequity in academia and what might be done about it.

  • You will be given an email confirming your status and location of event.
  • The event is free; however, if you do not arrive within 10 minutes of the beginning of the program your seat will be given to someone on the waitlist waiting outside the event.

Career Workshops

Two evening workshops, developed by the American Chemical Society (ACS) Young Chemists Committee, will be held to support young scientists’ career development.

Both workshop activities are free and will be held after the poster sessions on Monday and Tuesday evening. Pizza will be served to the participants

One-hour tour of Colorado State University’s ARC instrument facility.
